The Olympic year 2008,a very busy year for sportswomen and sportsmen particularly cyclists,will bring us its set of surprises,joys ,disappointments,exploits and substandard performances.
This year again,the TCFIA ideally placed between the Olympic races and the world championships will be the meeting point of the greatest world feminine champions.
Some of them, trained for the Olympics ,will still be in great form ;the others preparing themselves for the world championships will be at their top level on our Ardeche roads.
So for a week we will be thrilled by the queens of the asphalt.
We will meet the « two-wheels »lovers,the champion lovers,the enthusiasts for big thrills,people keen on exploits on the 6 stages which will take place from Le Pouzin to the CNR dam with a ride in provençal Drome ;from Vals les Bains to Antraigues ;from Vals les Bains to Le Teil ;from Chomerac to Cruas ;from the CNPE of Cruas Meysse to Villeneuve de Berg and as a supreme moment at Bourg st Andeol Saturday the 13th September will be entirely devoted to cycling.
Everyday on the stage finish lines the women champions will be preceded alternately by handisports cyclists,adapted sports clubs,cycling schools,bicycle touring clubs.
The advertising caravan will come before the women cyclists with our friends from « les Calandres Montiliennes »and will give out local goods,Agen prunes,gadgets,caps and tee-shirts.
Departures and arrivals will be followed by games and quizzes realized by the very nice and professional Christophe Lemarchand with gift awarding.
